Chimayo in watercolor

I had painted the mission at Chimayo twice before, both in acrylic.

Since it's my favorite church, I decided to try it in watercolor for my MAC (Mesa Art Center) inventory.  It looks different from my other Chimayo paintings - brighter, more colorful. I used a lot of thalo blue, and I think that's what did it. Is it too bright?
 
Now it's on to the pencil drawings.  Bought three little cactus yesterday, and today I begin.
